Project Praha is a European mobile game team operating under Athena Studio, a Vietnamese mobile game company. We are a lean, senior-focused remote team building a premium casual mobile game targeting a 2026 launch. Every role on the team carries real ownership and responsibility. We hire seniors who can lead their domain, not execute instructions.
ABOUT THE ROLE
You own the 2D art pipeline. Working from an Art Director-defined Style Guide and Game Feel Bible, you translate approved specs into production-ready assets across items, UI, and visual effects. The Art Director is the visual authority. Your job is to execute within the established system at a high level of craft and consistency.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Produce all items and character art: clean, readable at small mobile screen sizes, consistent with the style guide
Deliver full UI asset production across core screens. Pixel-perfect, mobile-optimized, ready for Unity integration
Support VFX asset creation in close collaboration with the VFX/Animation Programmer. Particle textures, sprite sheets, screen effect elements
Maintain a structured asset library that integrates cleanly with the generative artist's placeholder pipeline
Iterate on assets based on playtest feedback, prioritize what players respond to, not what looks best in isolation
Communicate proactively with the Art Director on spec ambiguities before starting production
REQUIRED SKILLS
4+ years of production 2D game art with at least one shipped mobile or F2P title
Strong static illustration and item/character design. Clean shapes, strong silhouettes, readable at small sizes
UI/UX art execution. Complete screen composition, icon design, and asset slicing for Unity
VFX support capability. Able to produce sprite sheets and particle texture atlases
Proficient in Photoshop or Procreate with experience exporting production-ready assets for Unity
Ability to execute faithfully within a defined style guide; consistency of output is non-negotiable
PREFERRED SKILLS
VFX animation experience: Frame-by-frame or Spine/SkeletonData is a strong differentiator
Familiarity with casual mobile game visual language: Cozy aesthetic, satisfying item design, bright palettes
Experience working alongside AI-assisted generative art pipelines
