Project Praha is a European mobile game team operating under Athena Studio, a Vietnamese mobile game company. We are a lean, senior-focused remote team building a premium casual mobile game targeting a 2026 launch. Every role on the team carries real ownership and responsibility. We hire seniors who can lead their domain, not execute instructions.


ABOUT THE ROLE

You design, balance, and stress-test all core systems, economy, progression, session flow, and content. This is a systems-first role. You will also carry content design responsibilities, including chapter themes, item naming, and tutorial scripting. There is no dedicated QA on the team — economy regression testing is an explicit ownership area for this role.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Own the full economy design across session gating, in-game currency, and item/resource systems, specify, balance, and tune all three

  • Define the design parameters for adaptive game systems in close collaboration with the Tech Lead

  • Design and calibrate all reward systems. Model progression curves, identify break points, and validate before implementation

  • Run economic regression testing before each phase launch. Edge cases, stress states, and boundary conditions

  • Deliver content design: chapter themes, item names, building names, and tutorial scripts tailored to a casual mobile audience

  • Map IAP trigger moments, identify high-friction states in the session flow, and design monetization opportunities around them

  • Collaborate with PM on scope prioritization. Build what is critical first, defer what is not


REQUIRED SKILLS

  • 5+ years of game design experience, including at least one shipped F2P mobile title

  • Deep systems design ownership: Proven experience designing and balancing multi-variable economies, not just content or level design

  • Economy design proficiency: Can model progression curves in spreadsheets and identify imbalances before implementation

  • Data literacy: Can read retention and session data, diagnose economic problems, and propose targeted design fixes

  • Content design range: Can write compelling items and build names and tutorial copy that communicates clearly to a casual audience

  • LiveOps design experience: Has shipped recurring events, limited-time reward systems, or seasonal content cadence on a live mobile title


PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Direct experience with economy design in the casual or casual-midcore mobile genre

  • A/B test design for economy and progression parameters


TEAM FIT

  • English proficiency is a non-negotiable

  • Is in UTC +1 to UTC +3 Time zones

  • Accepts PM scope prioritization authority, delivers what is needed first, not what is most interesting

  • Comfortable owning QA responsibility for the economy systems.
